Greg Lashbrook is a nationally recognized underwater cameraman. For the past 40 years, Greg has made an average of 200 dives per year in the Great Lakes. Greg’s dive career began as a pool boy and runner for Don Evans’ basic scuba course at the Port Huron YMCA. Over the years, Greg became a divemaster, a law enforcement search and rescue diver, and a commercial hard-hat diver. Today, Greg is a National Geographic accredited cameraman and the only professional underwater shooter in the Great Lakes to specialize in aquatic life.

Kathy Johnson is a professional diver, journalist, and film producer. Kathy’s dive career also began in high school. She was a volunteer member of the St. Clair County Sherriff Dive Rescue and Recovery Team for 10 years and worked as a commercial diver. One of her more interesting dive jobs took place inside a garbage dump. You can read her first-hand account at “Down in the Dumps, A day in the life of a garbage dump diver.”

In 2020, Kathy graduated summa cum laude from Wayne State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. An advocate for freshwater aquatic life, Kathy uses her writing and production skills to bring awareness to freshwater issues and champion aquatic life.
